It is recommended to launch your business branch before the Dubai 2020 Expo. To set up a branch in Dubai, various external bodies are involved in the approval process. In addition to the usual process of setting up a company in Dubai, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, as well as the Ministry of Justice, are involved.

The basic norm for any foreign document to be valid in the UAE would be to get all original documents of the parent company attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your native country and UAE Embassy in your native country.

Next, the same sets of papers have to pass through the Foreign Affairs Ministry in the UAE and the Ministry of Justice for attestation. The next hurdle is a Board resolution that the owners of the parent company, along with their original documents, have to pass in order to establish the foreign branch.

A manager has to be appointed to represent the company. All the documents will have to be translated into Arabic since it is the local language in Dubai.

Commencement of the actual process is possible only when the documents are ready. Further approvals from various bodies like – the Department of Economic Development, Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Dubai Courts, etc., – are required.

It would be prudent to employ expert advice for the rest of the documentation process.  If you require assistance to register your  branch office in Dubai, get in touch with companysetup.ae.
